Temperature gauges are a good choice for local temperature reading close to the process. They are reliable, do not require an external power supply and allow continuous process monitoring.
Bourdon's mechanical temperature measurement solutions include bimetal thermometers with a variety of connections, body diameters and lengths for local reading, as well as particularly versatile gas-filled thermometers for local and remote reading when combined with capillaries up to 30 metres.
Bourdon dial thermometers guarantee accurate readings at temperatures as low as -200°C and as high as 800°C. Bimetal technology thermometers; Available with vertical, horizontal or any angle body and a maximum length of 1000 mm.
Our high-quality dial thermometers, class 1 according to EN 13190, are designed and manufactured with your application in mind. Whether it's HVAC, oil and gas, food and beverage, water treatment, nuclear power plants, chemical and petrochemical plants, Bourdon has the right solution for you.
100 years of success. The former Haenni Instruments AG, founded in 1919, has been part of the Baumer Group since 2005 and has been transformed into a modern production facility.

Bourdon dial thermometers use two operating principles: bimetallic and gas expansion.
The measuring element of the bimetallic thermometer is a "bimetal" strip twisted into a helix, consisting of metals with different expansion coefficients. Temperature changes cause the bimetal strip to bend proportionally. While one end of the bimetal is fixed to the thermometer body, the needle is mounted on the other end and transfers the circular rotation movement to the dial.
Bimetal thermometers can be used for most standard applications.
Gas-filled thermometers use the principle of gas expansion. The measuring system is filled with a neutral gas that expands under the influence of temperature changes in the sensitive part of the body. This increase in pressure causes a deflection at the end of a Bourdon tube, and this deflection is translated into rotation of the needle by a mechanism.
Gas-filled thermometers; It is especially used for very high or very low temperature, remote installation with capillaries, contact applications or vibrating installations.
