SmartReflect light barriers without reflectors
Baumer SmartReflect light curtains offer the reliability of through beam sensors with half the time and cost required for installation: The reflector, which can be subject to wear and tear, is eliminated because part of the machine is used as a background. Transparent and highly reflective objects of all shapes and structures are detected reliably.
High performance reserve thanks to powerful processors
- Switching safety even with highly reflective parts
- Extremely resistant to dirt
- Detection of very small parts with a 0.1 mm thin laser beam
Easy installation and commissioning
- The simple and guided qTeach teaching method enables fast teaching, saves time and increases protection against manipulation
- Automated parameterization with IO-Link
- Mounting from above is also possible
- Universal push/pull sensor with selectable mode (NO / NC) reduces the number of different parts held in stock
Low operating costs
- Installation time can be reduced by 50% as no reflectors are required
- Reflector replacement no longer necessary due to wear and tear
Fork Sensors
Baumer fork sensors can be installed quickly and easily. Various light sources are available as well as different fork widths up to 120 mm.
Quick and easy initial start-up
- Transmitter and receiver do not need to be aligned
Reliable object detection even under difficult conditions
- Object recognition regardless of color or surface
- Laser versions for very small parts in the 1/100 mm range
- High ambient light immunity
- Robust metal housing and encapsulated electronics for continuous use in environments subject to vibrations
High system efficiency
- Detection of fast moving parts thanks to short response times of up to 0.125 ms
- High repeat accuracy
Miniature reflective sensors with background suppression
Our miniature models are ideal for installation in tight spaces. Even our smallest sensors have integrated evaluation electronics for superior performance.
Reliable and stable detection of complex parts such as springs, spirally wound filaments etc.
- Narrow line spot (LED: 3.5 mm, laser: 0.2 mm)
Space saving in space critical conditions
- Body in miniature design
Stable processes
- < 0.2mm high repeat accuracy
Quick commissioning and adjustment
- Classic mechanical adjustment with potentiometer
Fiber optics and amplifiers
Fiber optic sensors are particularly suitable for narrow and cramped installation conditions.
Use in very tight or inaccessible spaces
- Compact detection heads in cylindrical and rectangular shapes with straight or right-angled light output
- Small 0.1mm light spots
Robustness
- PTFE coating for protection against aggressive environments
- Robust cases made of plastic or metal
Easy installation and commissioning
- Quick adjustment via automatic teach-in function or potentiometer
Factor 1 inductive proximity switches
Factor 1 means the same detection distance on all metals. In this way, a single sensor is sufficient to detect different parts made of stainless steel, aluminum or non-ferrous metal.
Flexibility in design and assembly
- Same detection distance for all metals
- Few customizations required for faster assembly
- Four cylindrical size options
Maximum operating reliability
- Switching frequencies up to 3 kHz enable high bandwidth speeds
- Resistant even to vibrating parts
- High EMC resistance
- Wide temperature range, also suitable for variable environmental conditions
