Part Presence Detection
Photoelectric sensor solutions for reliable part detection in parallel grippers.
Task
Detecting the presence of a part, or its distance, between the gripper fingers in both the open and closed positions.
To ensure that a robotic end-of-arm tool has gripped correctly, it must reliably detect whether a part is present between the jaws. Baumer's compact photoelectric sensors are designed to be integrated into parallel grippers with confined mounting space, and use diffuse or through-beam sensing principles to measure part presence or distance with high precision.
