Functionality and Technology of Hall Sensors

Hall sensors contain a current-carrying semiconductor element that is subjected to a permanent magnetic bias created by a permanent permanent magnet.

Any change in the magnetic field intensity of a ferromagnetic object passing through the field is defined as a voltage change by the semiconductor element.

The sensor's integrated electronics evaluates the generated sine voltage into the amplified square wave signal.
