High Performance Feature Controls
VeriSens image sensors enable you to complete your inspection tasks quickly: Recognize and react immediately to errors during continuous production, precisely inspect robots for pick and place applications, check expiration accuracy or inspect correct placement of assembled items. This wide range of applications is made possible by 23 high-performance feature controls that are additionally optimized for easy use.
The 700/800 models of the XF and XC series offer the widest range of functions. Leverage up to 22 feature controls, ensuring you have the most appropriate imaging tools for every application. For example, if a package must be inspected on a bottle filling line after a packaging process, many features need to be checked. Are the contents of the package complete? Is the label installed within certain tolerances? Is the writing on the label correct when producing for various vendors? Is the correct barcode (EAN-13/GTIN-13) present and readable on the label? Is the printed expiration date correct?
With VeriSens image sensors you can easily accomplish this inspection task with a single image acquisition, because up to 32 feature checks can be combined in one inspection job. Meanwhile, a VeriSens image sensor can store up to 255 jobs. This guarantees your flexibility when working with different products.
Part Location

Part Position on Contours (FEXLoc)
It determines the position and rotation position of the part according to its contours. All subsequent property controls are aligned to the specified position.

Part Location on Edges (FEXLoc)
Determines the position and rotation position of the part relative to a single edge or two edges at right angles to each other. All subsequent property controls are aligned to the specified position.

Part Position on Circle (FEXLoc)
Determines the position and rotation position of circular parts. All subsequent property controls are aligned to the specified position.

Fragment Position on Line of Text
Determines the position and rotation position of text within the field of view. Text may change. All subsequent property controls are aligned to the specified position.
geometry

distance
Determines the distance between two edges.

apartment
Determines a circle's diameter, position, and roundness relative to the reference circle.

angle
Determines the angle between two edges.

Edge Count
Determines the number of edges along a tracing ray.

Point Location
Determines the coordinates of a point.

Edge Features
Compares the distances of edges along a tracing ray.
Feature Comparison

Counting Contour Points
Determines the number of contour points within the field of view.

Contour Comparison
Compares the contour of a taught part with the contour of the existing part.

Color Identification
It identifies the color in the field of view and determines its deviation from the reference color.

brightness
Determines the average brightness in the field of view.

contrast
Calculates the contrast in the field of view.

Field Size
Color defined in the image defines light or dark areas. Determines the total area or largest continuous area.

Counting Fields
Counts visible solid light or dark areas or color-defined areas in the image.

Pattern Comparison
It compares the field of view to a taught pattern.

Finding Object Locations
Finds the location of multiple objects based on a taught object.

Color Positioning
Verifies the presence of defined colors within defined image sections.
Description

barcode
Reads barcodes. It determines quality according to the ISO / IEC 15416 standard, outputs the results via the process interface, comparison with a reference value is possible.

Matrix Code
Reads matrix codes (ECC 200, GS1, QR, PDF417) at any rotation angle. It determines quality according to the ISO / IEC 15415 or AIM DPM-1-2006 standard, outputs the results via the process interface, comparison with a reference value is possible.

text
Reads numbers and characters. It is possible to output the read characters via the process interface and compare them with a reference value.
